What is Financial Hardship?

Financial hardship occurs when you are temporarily or permanently unable to meet your debt obligations due to unexpected events such as:

  • Loss of employment or reduced income
  • Illness, injury, or disability
  • Family breakdown or domestic violence
  • Natural disasters
  • Increased cost of living or other financial pressures

 

Apply for Hardship Assistance

If you're having trouble making payments, please reach out to us as soon as possible. The sooner we understand your situation, the better we can support you.

We assess all hardship requests on a case-by-case basis and treat all information you provide with the strictest confidence.

To apply for financial hardship assistance, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download and Complete the Hardship Form
    Start by downloading the Statement of Financial Position form. This helps us understand your current situation.

  2. Complete the Customer Identity Form
    Go to our Customer Enquiry Form (link) and verify your identity.
  3. Select "Financial Hardship" as Your Enquiry Type
    In the “Nature of Enquiry” dropdown, choose Financial Hardship so we can prioritise your request.
  4. Upload Your Completed Statement of Financial Position
    Attach the filled-out form using the “Upload Supporting Document” section at the bottom of the enquiry form.
  5. Submit Your Request
    Once you’ve completed the form and uploaded your documents, submit your enquiry
